Kayak Leader 2 - River
nccp 2 trained or certified

If you love the thought of taking others out exploring th moving waters then here is your next course. The kayak leader 2 river program designed for those who have completed the community flatwater instructor level one. These students should posses all the strong professional qualities of an instructor but who now wish to organze and lead river trips up to and including class2. Sudents looking to take this course must have strong paddling skills in class 3 water, currently be certified with standard first aid and swiftwater rescue, and feel confident with all required paddling skills.
This is an 80 hour extensive progeram where the students will be working with the Highlevel Instructors dealing with a variety of rivers. All of the kayak level 2 programs are based on a maximum of 6-1 student to teacher ratio not including the student instructor.
This experience will teach you a variety of advanced skills in a safe and fun approach while helping build confidence and preparing for the next level, kayak instructor level 2 river. The certified instructors at Highlevel Canoes and Kayaks are trained in instructing paddlers of all ages and will lead you through age related skills and drills with lots of thrills. At the same time we strive to instill upon all participants the importance of safe paddling in all water related activities.
