Three Day Skills And Thrills
If you need three days of skills and thrills, why not learn while having some fun in the sun. High Level Canoes and Kayaks have found that todays youths when given a chance are natural paddlers. What better way than three days out in the water to learn new skills, make new friends and introduce our youth to the adventures of kayaking, canoeing and paddle boarding.
This is a three day summer camp that runs from 9:00am -3:00pm at Park Lake on day one and 8:00am-6:pm days two and three on the river. We will be meeting at the High Level store at 9:00am where the students will be outfitted with all their gear. From here they will be transported to Park Lake by our staff where they will spend the day learning basic skills and saftey with a whole lot of fun, returning to the store at 3:00pm. Days two and three we will be runnning introductory rivers in Southern Alberta, vastly advancing the students skill levels. In this session our goal is to develope our students into becoming safety knowledgeable paddlers focusing on kayaking in both flat and moving water. Experiencing a variety of paddling skills in a safe and fun approach will help build confidence and self esteem, enabling students to advance their training with a greater confidence on the water.
The certified instructors at High Level Canoes and Kayaks are trained in instructing paddlers of all ages and will lead the students through age related skills and drills with lots of thrills. At the same time we strive to instill upon all participants the importance of safe paddling in all water related actvities.
